Terms and conditions

These terms apply to tutoring with Blooming Minds Learning, a business of Enceladus Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 70 663 714 912). By booking lessons, you agree to them. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch.

1. Lessons

Lessons are one-on-one, in person and 60 minutes unless we agree otherwise.
They take place in your home or at an agreed local library.
Your child's tutor is a registered teacher or holds a current Working with Children Check, and plans each lesson around your child's needs.
After each lesson you receive a short written summary by email and in the family portal.

2. Fees and payment

Prices are listed on our prices page, in Australian dollars. GST is not charged.
Weekly lessons are invoiced ahead and paid 24 hours before each lesson.
Packages (Block of 3, Block of 5 and Full Term) are paid within 7 days of the invoice date.
Payment is by bank transfer using the details on your invoice. Please use your child's first name and the invoice number as the reference.
Lessons go ahead once payment has been received. If an invoice is overdue, we'll send a reminder and may pause lessons until it's paid.
We may change our prices with at least 4 weeks' notice. Packages already paid for keep the price you paid.

3. Packages

Package lessons are used in date order, one per lesson.
A lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice uses a package lesson.

4. Cancelling or moving a lesson

Please let us know as early as you can, through the family portal or by contacting us. Please don't arrange changes directly with your tutor.
More than 24 hours' notice: no charge, and we'll try to offer another time.
Less than 24 hours' notice, or no one home at the lesson time: the full lesson fee applies.
If your tutor is unwell or can't make it, we'll tell you as early as possible and offer another time or a credit. You won't be charged for a lesson we cancel.

5. School holidays and public holidays

There are no lessons during Victorian school holidays unless we've arranged them with you. Weekly lessons start again automatically at the beginning of each term. Lessons that fall on a public holiday are moved or skipped by agreement.

6. Child safety

A parent or guardian must be home for the whole of every in-home lesson.
Lessons happen in an open, shared space.
Tutors never drive or transport students, and never photograph or film them.
All bookings, changes and questions go through Blooming Minds, not your tutor's personal phone or social media.
If you have any concern about your child's safety, please contact Anna straight away.

7. Photos and privacy

We only share photos of your child's work (never their face or name) if you say yes on the enrolment form. We look after your family's information as set out in our privacy policy.

8. Stopping lessons

You can stop weekly lessons at any time by letting us know before the next lesson is invoiced. Please speak with us about any package lessons you haven't used.

9. Your rights

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something isn't right, please tell us and we'll work with you to fix it.
